Dishwasher

Tchefuncte’s Steak and Seafood is high-end restaurant that celebrates the highlights of the season with fresh local ingredients and dishes that are rooted in classic Southern cuisine. 

We are looking for a dishwasher with a great attitude, ability to learn and work as a team to add to our team. You will serve a vital role in working to ensure our customers’ have a great experience. You will be responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that both kitchen and front of house staff have a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses. Your duties include prioritizing loads of kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry. You will also work to keep our facilities cleaned throughout operations and at the end of the shift.  The ideal candidate will be quick on their feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. Essential Functions:

• Control quality and consistency of all wares, keep floors dry and clean.
• Ensure all wares necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis
• Proper dish station set - breakdown and general cleaning
• Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently, and effectively
• Reporting any maintenance problems
• Keep organization and counts of all Plate ware, glasses and silverware.

Working Environment:

• Interior of restaurant, in restaurant and kitchen areas, with exposure to humidity, steam and extreme temperatures
• Exposure to food, beverage & cleaning chemicals
• Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds with ease
• Walking, stooping, standing, bending and sitting; possibly for more than 1 hour
